About the Opportunity
Ellucian is seeking an experienced and highly professional Executive Assistant to the Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to provide comprehensive executive and operational support to the Legal Organization. This is a high-impact role requiring exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, globally matrixed environment.
The Executive Assistant will serve as a trusted partner to the CLO and Legal leadership team, ensuring seamless administrative operations while supporting critical legal and corporate governance activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of handling highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
This role requires a strong ability to anticipate needs, improve operational efficiencies, coordinate across departments, and effectively interface with executive leadership, board members, outside counsel, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders worldwide. The successful candidate will bring excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and a customer-service mindset to support the Legal Organization’s strategic and operational priorities.
Where you will make an impact
- Manage the CLO’s calendar, meetings, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
- Prepare presentations, reports, agendas, meeting materials, and other executive communications.
- Coordinate department meetings, leadership offsites, all-hands meetings, and other team events, including logistics and follow-up actions.
- Serve as a liaison between the Legal Organization and internal/external stakeholders, including executive leadership, outside counsel, and business partners.
- Monitor and manage shared Legal team requests and help coordinate responses and follow-up actions.
- Support legal operations and corporate governance activities, including entity management, compliance documentation, regulatory filings, and standard legal documentation requests.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel on corporate records, governance documentation, and other legal administrative matters.
- Maintain confidential legal records, files, and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and discretion.
- Assist with contract administration, legal intake workflows, invoice processing, and departmental operational processes.
- Support special projects, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and other highly confidential matters for the Legal Organization.
What you will bring
- 8+ years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably within Legal, Compliance, or Corporate functions.
- Experience supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
- Strong judgment, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work independently.
- Experience interacting with executive leadership and board-level stakeholders preferred.
Extra Credit

- Familiarity with legal operations, entity management, or corporate governance processes.
