About the Role
As a Content Development Specialist, you'll grasp market and customer needs, craft content for electronic and print delivery, and work closely with content strategists and authors.
Responsibilities
- Planning and developing content for electronic and print delivery that meets market needs
- Building understanding of market and customer needs for content in all formats
- Developing knowledge of devices and platforms to anticipate content rendering issues
- Working with content strategists and authors to plan content formats & delivery
- Verifying submitted manuscript adheres to vision, plan, and budget
- Developing and communicating guidelines for writers regarding content and e-content enhancements
- Reviewing and preparing content using authoring/content management tools
- Consulting with operations and vendors as well as SMEs to create highest quality content
Requirements
- Have a BA/BS in English, Project Management, e-Learning, or related areas
- Be able to independently manage e-development and assignments for online or e-book development projects
- Have proven ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal stakeholders and authors and/or subject matter experts
- Be familiar with acceptable formats for digital text and art
- Have knowledge of e-devices and e-content workflows
- Be comfortable and experienced with technology, including e-books, tablets, and online tools
- Experience in managing multiple, high-priority projects
- Possess knowledge of EPUB, HTML5, and XML as they relate to e-book publishing process
