WHAT YOU'LL DO
The instructor role involves hosting live classes for 10-150 students, breaking down complex investment topics into relatable content, and providing test-taking tips, including executive-level courses. One-on-one teaching is also required, where the instructor will assist students via phone and email with complex regulatory questions, applying detailed knowledge to various financial scenarios, and offering personalized coaching for regulatory exams. Additionally, the instructor will develop engaging content and curriculum for FINRA and NASAA courses, implement best practices for live classes, and collaborate with multiple departments based on class feedback.
WHERE YOU’LL WORK
This position will work remote in the United States.
HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
- Teaching Live classes. Instructors will be hosting live focus call classes on FINRA and NASAA material to help enhance students learning of key concepts. These calls can be from 10-150 students. The instructor must break down complex topics on investment, rules, regulations, laws and taxation in a relatable way to meet different learnings styles. These calls will also have instructor apply key concepts to different situations, review test questions with students and include test taking tips. This can also include Executive level courses.
- Teaching one-on-one. Instructors will be assisting students over the phone and email with complex content questions. The instructor will need to be well versed in the complicated regulatory rules and regulations, Federal and State Laws and apply it to investment products and a variety of financial specific situations. In addition, the instructor will need to explain complex product knowledge topics and elevate the content to situation base scenarios in a reliable way for all learning styles. Lastly, they will need to evaluate student reports and give detailed individual coaching them to become successful on their regulatory exams.
- Project work - the instructor will be assigned to develop content and curriculum for our FINRA, NASAA, Principal courses. This will include evaluating data, reviewing FINRA and NASAA outlines, reviewing legal statues, etc. Then creating well-developed, engaging presentations that will meet different peopled learning styles and level of product knowledge.
- Live Class Specialist - Reviewing live class schedule, implementing Best Practice to ensure the success of the live class with clients, reviewing feedback and relaying the information to multiple departments – Sales, CSM, Webinar Specialist, Education.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor’s degree in education or finance or a related field.
- Financial background (3+ years of Financial Experience, in the securities business)
- Teaching background (3+ years of teaching live groups and/or tutoring)
- Interpersonal Skills (3+ years providing support to individuals or in a group setting)
- Knowledge of the Financial Securities Industry
- Knowledge of the compliance rules of the security industry
- Knowledge about building client portfolios, which can include tax implications, different investment goals, retirement planning and college savings planning.
- Teaching background (3+ years of teaching live groups and/or tutoring)
- Have a passion for teaching, tutoring, training
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Trustworthy, reliable, flexible.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Familiar with current technology (desktop and mobile platforms), including Microsoft Office, Internet browsers, and search engines.
