Role Snapshot
CCBC is seeking Programmer I and II positions with focus on database administration in Ellucian Banner and Oracle environments to support enterprise application development and maintenance. These roles support database maintenance, SQL development, and collaboration with database administrators to ensure system performance and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities: Support database maintenance, Banner administrative processes, SQL and PL/SQL development, and collaborate with database administrators on enterprise applications. Programmer I works under supervision on coding, testing, and documentation; Programmer II works independently from business requirement review through implementation.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, Java, HTML5, CSS, and exposure to web server environments (Apache, Tomcat, IIS). Strong communication and problem-solving skills required; Programmer II requires passing score on programming assessments in Java, JavaScript, Linux Shell Scripting, TSQL, and PL/SQL.
Qualifications: Programmer I: Associate's degree in IT with 2+ years IT experience, or Bachelor's degree in IT. Programmer II: Bachelor's degree in IT with 4+ years enterprise-level administrative systems experience and completion of at least one technical certification from the College's Programmer Certification Matrix.
