Engineering Manager leading Coursera's Skills and Credentials team to build systems connecting learning content to real-world career outcomes. The role involves technical leadership of a full-stack engineering team and strategic architectural decisions for a scalable skills platform serving millions of learners.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee a full-stack engineering team, drive product roadmap initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery of scalable, high-quality solutions. Lead the development of core skills taxonomy, skill progression infrastructure, and ensure long-term scalability and reliability of the skills platform.
Skills & Tools: Strong software engineering foundation with proficiency in modern backend technologies (Java, Scala) and frontend technologies (React, TypeScript). Expertise in system design, team leadership, technical decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; 5+ years in software development including 2+ years in engineering management. Strong technical and leadership capabilities required.
Location: California
Compensation: $158K–$198K/yr
