The Senior Financial Analyst provides recurring financial reporting and analysis for the assigned functional area including preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. The individual will also prepare ad hoc analyses related to obtaining a deeper understanding of financial result drivers for assigned functional areas or specific projects. Results from these analyses are summarized in a concise manner for internal management reporting
Primary Responsibilities:
Understand business operations including key metrics and business drivers as it relates to the overall business and any specific impacts on the assigned functional area
Prepare annual budgets and supporting documentation for assigned functional areas primarily via Excel and the Oracle Cloud financial reporting system
Prepare monthly forecasts considering current and future business trends for assigned functional areas primarily via Excel and Oracle Cloud
Prepare monthly actual vs. budget and forecast variance analyses
Routinely communicate with functional leaders, resolve inquiries, and provide insights and feedback for improving operation results
Prepare ad hoc analyses (via Excel) and related presentations (via PowerPoint) related to business unit initiatives and financial impact from the proposed operation, policy, or process changes
Prepare account reconciliations, analyses, and other related accounting schedules required for monthly accruals related to assigned functional area
Collaborate with members of the team to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Finance function
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Finance or Accounting; MBA Preferred
3+ Years' experience with a focus on financial analysis in a dynamic corporation
CPA or CFA preferred but not required
Experience with Oracle or a similar large ERP system
Experience with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Effective written and verbal communication skills understands accounting principles and procedures, analytically minded with a desire to learn about the business
Customer service oriented, ability to work independently, and adapts to changing priorities
PowerPoint presentation experience preferred

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades, this position is a Salary Grade B: $64,000 - $202,600. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
