We are actively seeking a versatile Learning and Development Generalist who can wear many hats: from facilitating onboarding revamps to creating video content. The ideal candidate will possess experience in instructional design, curriculum development, needs analysis, and have a knack for resource creation. This role demands a strategic thinker who isn't afraid to dive into various aspects of L&D, including crafting a manager training portal and scaling learning programs.
Role Overview
- Location: Primarily Remote; local to San Francisco strongly preferred
- Weekly Commitment: Freelance Part-time Contract, estimated up to 30 hrs
- Targeted Compensation: $50-$65 per hour
- Anticipated Start Date: January, 2025
- Project Duration: TBD by our client, closer to the start date itself
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging video content to support various training modules and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of a manager training portal.
- Collaborate with teams to conduct needs analysis and identify learning gaps.
- Assist in the redesign and execution of the onboarding process with a focus on multimedia approaches.
- Participate in curriculum framework development to ensure scalability and impact.
- Facilitate training sessions as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Learning and Development with Instructional Design and Curriculum Development experience.
- Proficiency in video creation tools and platforms for educational content.
- Strong analytical skills to conduct needs assessments and measure training effectiveness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in creating or revamping onboarding programs, particularly within corporate settings.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content authoring tools.
- Basic facilitation skills with experience leading training sessions is an advantage.
