As Content Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Marketing team, responsible for driving and executing K12 Insight’s content strategy. You’ll create compelling content that educates our target audience, nurtures leads, and drives engagement. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Product, Sales, and Client Experience teams to develop content that effectively showcases K12 Insight’s products and solutions. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Marketing. This role is an individual contributor position with no direct reports at this time.
Responsibilities
- Craft compelling and persuasive content across various formats, including landing pages, emails, case studies, guides, white papers, blog posts, social media content, website content, event materials, infographics, newsletters, and more.
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of innovative marketing programs that enhance brand awareness, drive website traffic, accelerate the sales pipeline, and achieve measurable results.
- Manage and optimize marketing campaigns across various channels to generate qualified leads, such as digital advertising, social media, and content marketing.
- Partner with our events team to develop compelling event content, including presentation proposals, event abstracts, slide decks, and other materials to drive qualified leads.
- Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for event-related tasks, from booking speaker engagements and coordinating conference participation to ensuring the timely delivery of all supporting materials.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as product developers, executive leadership, school district leadership, clients, and partners, to identify captivating stories and gather insights that inform content development.
- Maintain a strong understanding of K12 Insight’s mission, vision, product goals, and buyer journey, translating this knowledge into compelling content that motivates prospects and clients to take action.
- Develop templates, scripts, presentations, and enablement materials to support the Sales department in their efforts.
- Provide support to the Sales team by reviewing and editing proposals developed as part of the RFP (Request for Proposal) process.
- Plan, coordinate, and promote webinars to engage prospects, educate clients, and generate demand.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and client preferences to inform marketing campaigns.

- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders, and agencies to drive cohesive marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, advertising, writing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably within a B2B SaaS or education technology environment
- Comprehensive understanding of strategic content frameworks, such as the Curata Marketing Pyramid, to optimize content utilization, repurposing, and audience engagement.
- Proven experience developing content strategies and producing content across multiple formats (blogs, case studies, videos, etc.)
- Experience managing content calendars and content management systems (WordPress, HubSpot, etc.)
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, like Salesforce, to track and manage leads
- Strong project management skills, including using tools like Asana to manage projects, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Location: This position follows a hybrid work model based at our Herndon, Virginia office, requiring between 1-3 on-site days per week. This role also includes up to 10% travel.

The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 / year with the opportunity to earn additional compensation pursuant with K12 Insight’s corporate bonus plan. The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position, and is subject to change. Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience and skills, market demands, internal parity and organizational needs.
