As part of their growth strategy, S&S is searching for a Regional Key Accounts Manager to drive sales development and manage key accounts within Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. This role focuses on business development, customer needs assessment, and strategic planning to foster long-term relationships and growth with the expansive portfolio of S&S products and services.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated B2B success selling a broad range of products and a deep understanding of the SLED sector (State, Local, and Education).
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and execute customized sales plans aimed at retaining and growing sales and profitability within the core customer markets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities including qualifying prospects, converting opportunities, and building strong relationships
- Proactively track and solicit all bid and contract opportunities from customers ensuring competitive positioning and client satisfaction
- Lead efforts to streamline the customer ordering process through integration with customer systems including adoption of online functionality (e.g., ssww.com)
- Provide key customer insights, market trends, and funding stream intelligence to the Sales, Marketing, and Leadership teams to inform strategy and decision-making
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and product developments and regularly communicate insights and recommendations to management
- Plan and lead customer workshops, product presentations, and introduction of new items to strengthen customer relationships and increase sales opportunities
- Attend industry conferences, conventions, and association meetings to expand the network, meet potential customers, generate leads, and drive sales growth
- Perform other customer retention activities and sales-related duties as assigned by the Director to support overall business objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in retaining and growing B2B key accounts
- Proven track record in SLED (State, Local, and Education) sales
- Successful experience selling a broad range of hard goods products
- Lives and works in market (Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina)
- Capability to work remotely in the United States and ability to travel as necessary
