Job Description:
As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will apply experience, judgment and discretion to field and resolve mid-to-higher complexity, non-routine People Operations inquiries. This role delivers timely, knowledgeable, trusted support for team members and leaders globally, and collaborates regularly with Business Partners, Legal and leaders across the organization. A key member of the People Business Partner team, this role reports to the Sr. Director, People Business Partners.

What you’ll do:
- Advise leaders on effective performance management practices, including career path conversations, giving effective feedback, designing and delivering performance improvement plans, and exiting underperforming team members
- Provide people-first, values-aligned response to non-routine People Ops inquiries, where process or policy is not defined or ambiguous, applying discretion to interpret and resolve
- Audit probation probationary period in applicable geographies and provide process guidance if team member will not meet probation requirements
- Investigate grievance reports (e.g., discrimination, harassment or compliance violations) and reports of gross misconduct, collaborating with Legal/Compliance and HRBP teams to ensure effective, fair resolution
- Stay abreast of global employment regulations and standard methodologies to ensure Pluralsight People practices are compliant and can scale globally
- Collaborate with the People and Legal teams on policy and process design to address emerging needs and changing regulatory requirements
Experience you’ll bring:
- Experience in an Employee Relations, People Operations or similar role in a fast paced, global organization
- In-depth knowledge of US HR laws and processes, plus dedication to staying current with ever-evolving regulatory requirements
- Proven track record of implementing and improving procedures and programs
Requirements:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent experience; or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR management or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge and exposure of global HR laws and processes, especially in EMEA
- Familiarity with Workday and Google Suite
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $80,300 - $99,100 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
