About the Role
At the Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI), trainings and workshops have become an increasingly important component of our work with institutions of higher education. This role will manage the CDI Facilitator Program, which involves recruiting, training, and coordinating external facilitators; lead CDI trainings and workshops; and collaborate with other members of the CDI Content team to develop new and refine existing trainings and workshops. The Senior Training & Delivery Manager will report directly to the Director of Education.
Responsibilities
Facilitator Program Management and Strategy
With support from the Director of Education, develop and implement a strategy to recruit, train, and further develop external CDI facilitators.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure a high standard of quality among external facilitators.
Coordinate with external facilitators, the Growth team, and partner institutions to ensure seamless facilitator staffing and logistics for trainings and workshops.
Training Leadership and Delivery
Deliver CDI trainings and workshops.
Manage facilitator and organizational capacity for training requests in collaboration with the Growth and Content teams.
Work closely with junior staff (e.g. the Growth Ops Coordinator, Training Program Manager) on scheduling, staffing, and logistics for trainings and workshops.
Maintain data infrastructure related to trainings, workshops, and facilitators across platforms like Google Drive and HubSpot.
Partner with the sales team to develop a process to effectively deliver upon sales contracts.
Content and Training Development
Lead regular reviews and updates of existing trainings and workshops to maintain relevance and quality.
Collaborate with the CDI Content team to develop new trainings and workshops, as needed and in accordance with CDI strategy.
Collaborate with the CDI Content team on large-scale program design projects, such as launching new versions of our online program, as needed.
Stay abreast of latest research and trends in adult learning, dialogue facilitation, conflict resolution, and other related fields.
Create a protocol to capture themes coming out of the trainings that can be used as part of ongoing research.
This position involves occasional travel, approximately once per month for 2-3 days, to facilitate in-person workshops and participate in CDI’s biannual team gatherings.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience facilitating workshops and leading training sessions
3+ years of experience managing and developing other facilitators or trainers
Deep understanding of adult learning principles, and expertise in one of the following or a related field: dialogue, psychology, conflict management, or conflict resolution
Track record of developing and managing effective systems to recruit, develop, and staff trainers, and experience working with a sales team to align training capacity and demand.
Strategic thinker, detail oriented, exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
A commitment to the mission and values of the Constructive Dialogue Institute.
Ability to quickly learn and effectively use tools such as Google Suite, Zoom, HubSpot, Asana, and Airtable; direct experience with any of these tools is a plus.
