SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Data Integration Team Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of data integration projects for K-12 clients, ensuring that all projects meet specifications and are delivered on time and within scope. This role involves managing a team of Data Integration Specialists while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to maintain streamlined processes and effectively address technical challenges.
By establishing and enforcing standards, processes, and best practices, the Data Integration Team Manager will drive consistency, efficiency, and quality across all data integration activities, ultimately enhancing the client experience with Finalsite’s solutions.
This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, people management, and strategic thinking to foster innovation and continuous improvement within the data integration function. The manager will also play a critical role in mentoring team members, facilitating knowledge sharing, and ensuring the team’s readiness to handle complex integration requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and support a team of Data Integration Specialists, fostering a positive, collaborative environment focused on skill development, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Establish team goals and performance metrics, monitor progress, and conduct regular evaluations to promote accountability and growth.
Allocate resources effectively within the team and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure adequate support for project needs.
Act as a point of escalation for complex client integration issues, providing technical guidance on troubleshooting and process optimizations to ensure the delivery of accurate and consistent data.
Provide technical guidance on data mapping, scripting, and transfer protocols, ensuring the team’s technical competence and readiness to address complex integration requirements.
Continuously monitor and optimize data integration workflows, ensuring data mapping, integrity checks, and client communications are executed with high standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Product, Engineering, and other key departments to ensure alignment on client needs and technical requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may substitute.
5+ years of experience in data integration, IT, or a related technical role, with strong proficiency in SQL, Ruby on Rails, XSL, or similar scripting and web development languages, as well as experience with Python. Familiarity with SAML, LDAP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, and SFTP protocols.
Strong leadership and management skill, with a track record of successfully leading and developing a high-performing team.
Proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong understanding of data integration processes, project management methodologies, and risk management practices.
