Who we’re looking for:
We’re searching for a Data Integration Engineer who will partner closely with our Account Management team, Support, Product, and Engineering teams to develop fixes and enhancements to our SaaS platform. A successful candidate will focus on verifying and correcting technical issues to help ensure a delightful and successful experience for our users while collaborating with the Engineering team to identify areas of optimization and clarity in the existing codebase.
You will author code to improve and maintain features as well as own new feature development for our internal systems and tools. You will tackle challenging technical problems with the simplest possible solutions while having a direct impact on our customers and internal teams. You’ll have the unique opportunity to join our rapidly growing company in a role where you will directly impact our users.
This role will:
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of Data Integration Engineering’s software projects and data discrepancies
- Analyze and own the resolution of Product Escalations (Issues) as well as partner with the Features Engineering team(s) to determine the root cause
- Own systems-level support and maintenance to improve the health and stability of our SaaS platform
- Participate in our on-call rotation alongside all engineering team member
- Monitor, track and audit data for inconsistencies and errors and develop processes to identify and remedy data inaccuracies and/or missing data
- Develop an understanding of a wide range of integration use cases, summarize key learnings, and generate best practices to be shared with internal teams.
- Work with the engineering team to develop solutions in the form of tools for increased reliability and efficiency
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience with a programming language like Ruby or Python is required. Ruby and Ruby-on-Rails are highly preferred.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues through systematic troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and effective debugging.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal)
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with commonly used AWS services, like S3 and RDS, is a plus
- Experience with version control using Git is a plus
- Experience with SFTP is a plus
- Experience with working in the K12 Education environment and hands-on experience with Student Information Systems are highly desired.
- Bonus:
- Proficiency in SQL, with general knowledge of databases
- Proficiency in Retool

This role will have a salary range of 90,000 - 110,000 annually, DOE.
