COMPENSATION: $50K-$60K annually
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
As a Client Engagement Specialist (CES) at Meteor, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by establishing and nurturing strong relationships with prospective clients. You will leverage Meteor’s Core Values to effectively identify client needs and align them with tailored solutions, ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales team for closing. The CES is integral to the success of the sales pipeline, focusing on three key areas:
- Conducting in-depth market research to uncover client needs and opportunities
- Qualifying and advancing new sales leads and prospects
- Collaborating closely with Directors of Market Development (DMDs) and Learning Environment Specialists (LESs) to ensure alignment and support throughout the sales journey
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Qualification & Relationship Building: Drive the early stages of the sales cycle by conducting outreach to potential clients, qualifying leads, and developing long-term relationships. Utilize both proprietary data and broader market research to identify sales opportunities.
- Customer Journey Guidance: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through the entire customer journey by aligning Meteor’s innovative solutions with their unique business needs.
- Sales Prospecting & Appointment Setting: Engage in proactive outbound prospecting activities to generate appointments with target clients. Effectively introduce Meteor's offerings and establish initial relationships, setting the stage for further sales engagement.
- Lead Nurturing & Funnel Management: Manage and nurture leads within the sales funnel, ensuring that prospects not yet ready to buy are effectively nurtured and moved toward qualification for conversion.
- Collaborative Execution of Go-to-Market Strategies: Work hand-in-hand with the Sales and Market Development teams to execute go-to-market initiatives, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to market penetration.
- Brand Advocacy & Communication: Serve as an ambassador for Meteor, delivering on the company’s Brand Promise and promoting its value propositions to potential clients. Provide timely follow-up communications to prospects through various channels, including Executive Briefs, Trade Shows, Website leads, and more.
- CRM & Sales Strategy Alignment: Utilize the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to track, update, and assess lead status. Ensure alignment with the broader Sales Enablement Plan and continuously assess the effectiveness of client engagement strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training, market analysis, and team collaboration to stay at the forefront of industry trends and continually refine outreach and engagement strategies.
- Additional Duties: As the role evolves, other responsibilities may be assigned to support the team and business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
- A bachelor’s degree in business or in a similar field preferred
- 1-2 years prior sales or lead development experience required
- Demonstrated CRM knowledge – Salesforce experience required

Travel
All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
