Summary

Cornerstone LMS Administrator/Architect responsible for optimizing and customizing the Cornerstone OnDemand platform to align with organizational goals while ensuring data governance, compliance, and system security. This role serves as the primary technical contact for LMS issues and drives continuous system improvements across Learning, Performance, Recruiting, and HR modules.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze and optimize Cornerstone configuration, customize modules to meet business requirements, develop custom reports and dashboards to track KPIs, and provide end-user training and ongoing technical support. Ensure data accuracy and governance, conduct compliance audits, and collaborate with IT staff on system improvements and knowledge transfer.
Skills & Tools: Technical expertise in Cornerstone OnDemand platform administration, database management, data visualization, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and project management. Strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to work collaboratively with IT teams and stakeholders.
Qualifications: Minimum bachelor's degree (verified by transcript) and two consecutive years of Senior Technical Lead experience within the last 10 years serving federal, state, local, or public agencies. Desirable: more than two years of contracted STL services to State clients or departments.
Location: Remote, California
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $95,000 – $140,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

About this Position:

Job Title: Cornerstone LMS Administrator / Architect

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and optimize Cornerstone OnDemand configuration to align with organizational goals and best practices

  • Customize Learning, Performance, Recruiting, and HR modules to meet business requirements

  • Enhance user experience by improving UI and implementing efficient, user-friendly workflows

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and maintain data governance policies

  • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and use analytics to track KPIs and effectiveness

  • Deliver end-user and customized training, including manuals, tutorials, and LMS programs

  • Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and act as the primary contact for issues

  • Ensure compliance and security, conduct audits, and drive continuous system improvements

Required qualifications:

  • The Senior Technical Lead (STL) must each have a minimum of two years of experience providing STL services to a State Department performing at minimum, one or more of the following tasks:

    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.

    • Technical expertise and database management.

    • Data management and visualization.

    • Project management and organizational skills.

    • Critical thinking.

    • Attending regular project meetings and openly communicating to inform status, provide recommendations and discuss next steps and actions needed to perform tasks.

    • Developing, presenting and timely completing Project Tasks/Deliverables.

    • Working collaboratively with IT staff.

    • Supporting knowledge transfer.

  • The STL must have a minimum of two consecutive years of experience in the last 10 years working providing STL consultative services to federal, state, local or public agencies.

  • The STL must possess a bachelor's degree which can be verified by the State during evaluation of the proposals.

  • Consultant must submit unofficial school transcript(s) which document degree requirements have been met.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Consultant who possess more than two years of demonstrated experience performing contracted STL services to one or more State Client(s), Office(s) or Department(s).

  • Years of experience need not be consecutive or limited to the last 10 years and is in addition to the experience.
