Summary

Shine Early Learning seeks a mission-driven Health Coordinator to lead health and wellness systems for children and families in their early learning programs. The role focuses on enhancing access to care, building community partnerships, and ensuring strong health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities: Lead family engagement and wellness strategies, coach health and family services teams to build capacity, develop community partnerships for health and wellness services, and monitor quality improvement initiatives using data-informed decision-making.
Skills & Tools: Program and operational leadership, supervision and coaching abilities, partnership development, continuous improvement and quality monitoring, strong written and verbal communication skills with presentation comfort to diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Child Development, Social Work, Public Health, or related field required; Bachelor's Degree or RN preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of program management and team supervision experience in early childhood or family engagement settings, preferably with Head Start programs.
Location: Hybrid in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States of America
Compensation: $50,000 – $55,000/year

Are you a health-focused leader committed to ensuring children and families have access to the care and support they need to thrive? Shine Early Learning is looking for a collaborative and mission-driven Health Coordinatorto help build strong systems that promote health, wellness, and family well-being across our programs.

Your Role:

As a Health Coordinator, you will lead and support the implementation of Shine’s family engagement and wellness strategies to improve school readiness and long-term outcomes for children. You’ll guide and coach health and family services teams, develop community partnerships, and help build aligned systems that center families and promote healthy development.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide coaching and supervision to family services and health team members, helping them build capacity and core competencies
  • Develop partnerships with local organizations to ensure children and families have access to necessary health and wellness services
  • Collaborate across Early Learning and Mental Health & Disabilities teams to promote aligned family practices and services
  • Monitor execution of strategies using quality improvement tools and ensure compliance with Head Start standards
  • Represent the department in meetings, trainings, and collaborative events
  • Support continuous program improvement through data-informed decision-making and team reflection

What You Bring:

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family and Child Development, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field required. Bachelor's Degree or RN preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing programs and supervising educational or family engagement teams
  • Proven success in program and operational leadership, including continuous improvement and fiscal oversight
  • Experience working with Head Start or similar early childhood programs
  • A track record of building high-functioning, mission-aligned teams and leading through influence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort presenting to internal and external stakeholders
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
