Role Snapshot
Join Reading Partners as an Accounting Associate to support critical accounting functions while advancing a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving literacy in under-resourced schools.
Key Responsibilities: Perform daily accounting tasks including cash receipt recording, bank deposits, accounts payable processing, and grants reporting using Sage Intacct and other accounting systems. Support the revenue and accounting teams with invoice creation, audit documentation, and general ledger coding while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of accounting principles, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience with Sage Intacct software. Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently on multiple accounting functions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience with 1-3 years of nonprofit accounting experience preferred. San Francisco Bay Area residency required.
Location: Oakland, California
Compensation: $34–$40/hr
