Role Snapshot
The Associate Program Manager for the Oxford Dictionary of African American English (ODAAE) will oversee the implementation and coordination of a landmark scholarly project documenting African American English, driving program success through coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders including Harvard University's Hutchins Center and major foundations.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, drive, and coordinate ODAAE program implementation including monitoring progress against milestones, managing editorial workflows, scoping and developing the online dictionary product, and executing administrative/operational tasks. Liaise with internal colleagues, external academic institutions, the Hutchins Center, subject-matter experts, and grant award bodies to ensure program delivery.
Skills & Tools: Exceptional project management skills, strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, and experience with African American English or related linguistic fields. Proficiency in budget management and familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
Qualifications: A project management professional certification is preferred, along with experience managing project budgets and coordinating complex scholarly initiatives. Background in linguistics, African American studies, or related academic fields is beneficial.
