Role Snapshot
The Exploratorium seeks an On-Call Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the museum by operating custodial equipment and performing various cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities: Operating custodial equipment such as floor machines, mops, and squeegees to clean classrooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas; collecting and properly disposing of trash, recycling, and compost; and responding quickly to custodial maintenance requests.
Skills & Tools: Basic custodial skills including familiarity with cleaning tools, equipment operation, and safety procedures; ability to follow written and oral instructions; and physical capability to lift, carry, and maneuver cleaning equipment.
Qualifications: Minimum 6 months of custodial experience or successful completion of basic custodial training; ability to read, write, and follow instructions; and physical ability to lift 35 lbs and push/pull 50 lbs.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $25/hr
