EHS Technician role at Canadian Solar's CS Power Systems division responsible for conducting safety training, monitoring workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 standards across manufacturing operations in Mesquite, Texas.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct EHS training programs, monitor production floor operations for safety compliance, identify and correct workplace hazards, prepare detailed incident reports and audit documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental compliance.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and presentation abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements, ability to work collaboratively within EHS teams, and capability to identify hazards and coach employees on safety procedures.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED minimum with 0-1+ years of manufacturing safety experience; Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred; OSHA certification and environmental regulations experience preferred.
Location: In-Person - Mesquite, TX
Compensation: $38K–$52K/yr (estimated)

Responsibilities include: Conduct EHS training and awareness programs covering workplace safety, emergency response, PPE usage, hazard communication, and environmental compliance. . Ensure employees properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses etc. Maintain a strong presence on the production floor to monitor daily operations and reinforce safe work practices. Conduct active floor-level safety oversight by proactively identifying, reporting, and correcting workplace hazards, unsafe conditions, and at-risk behaviors to maintain a safe working environment. Provide on-the-spot coaching and guidance to employees on safety procedures and hazard awareness Prepare detailed EHS reports, inspection findings, incident summaries, and corrective action documentation. Support implementation and sustainment of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 requirements through daily activities Contribute to compliance audits of site programs and policies and deliver audit outcomes to Sr. EHS Engineer Support implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices Conduct routine EHS inspections, safety observations, and walk-throughs across operational areas. Ensure waste is properly stored and assist in waste shipments with the disposal company accurately perform all required waste inspections Participate in EHS training sessions, emergency response activities, drills, and safety meetings Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety, environmental compliance, and overall EHS All other duties as assigned Qualifications: 0-1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Safety. Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Prefer Associate Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field. OSHA Certification preferred but not necessary. Environmental regulations experience preferred. Experience writing EHS reports to regulatory authorities. Excellent communication skills with individuals of varied backgrounds. Ability to present in front of large groups.
