Principal Product Manager at Blackbaud responsible for leading the Data Platform strategy and technical foundations that enable data and ML business transformation. This role bridges vertical market groups, Centers of Excellence, and engineering teams to drive step-function improvements in customer outcomes and product margins.

Key Responsibilities: Own multiple product initiatives from ideation through delivery, lead adoption of the data mesh framework across the organization, and partner with engineering teams to shape platform capabilities for data pipelines, ML workflows, and developer productivity. Communicate with stakeholders throughout the product development cycle, prioritize product backlogs, and execute product strategy across cross-functional teams.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership, collaboration, and cross-functional influence with demonstrated expertise in platform architecture, data engineering, and MLOps concepts including model lifecycle management and deployment pipelines. Excellent communication, listening, and analytical skills with ability to make data-driven decisions and support prioritization through both data and narrative.
Qualifications: 8+ years of Product Management experience with prior background in engineering, data engineering, platform architecture, or as a technical product manager supporting internal teams. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required, with demonstrated experience building platform capabilities for engineering or analytical teams and familiarity with agile development practices and Microsoft data tools (ADLS, Fabric).

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is ₹35,00,000 – ₹55,00,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Product Manager, Principal Blackbaud is looking for the right candidate to join us as Principal Product Manager, Data Platform. This in an incredibly exciting and important role in the Platform group at Blackbaud

  • this product manager will be responsible for the platform and technical foundations that enable our data and machine learning business transformation, driving step-function improvements in customer outcomes, automation, delightful developer experiences, and higher product margins. We're looking for someone with their eyes on the horizon - someone who's able to lay out a big idea and has the drive to make it happen. This individual will be the link between vertical market groups, Centers of Excellence, and our data and application engineering teams. They must understand how to balance customer needs with the needs of the business, demonstrating financial acumen and prudent decision-making. Responsibilities • Driven leader, collaborator, and relationship builder whose can-do attitude inspires others in a fast-moving environment. • Owns multiple product initiatives and leads teams from ideation through validation, delivery, and delight. • Leads adoption of the data mesh framework throughout the organization. • Partners with engineering teams to shape platform capabilities supporting data pipelines, ML workflows, MLOps practices, and developer productivity across the organization. • Creates solutions that work for both the business and our customers. • Communicates and builds rapport with stakeholders throughout the product development cycle. • Works across engineering, design, program management, and other stakeholders to execute product strategy. • Provides guidance on the prioritization of product backlogs to guide product teams in developing capabilities. Qualifications • 8+ years' experience within Product Management • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience • Prior experience in engineering, data engineering, or platform architecture roles, or as a technical product manager supporting internal engineering teams. • Demonstrated experience building platform capabilities where engineering or analytical teams are the primary consumers. • Familiarity with MLOps concepts and platforms, including model lifecycle management, deployment pipelines, monitoring, governance, or experimentation frameworks. • You are adept at driving results across cross-functional teams through influence. • You enjoy working with peers, stakeholders, and customers
