Join Sourcebooks as a Summer Intern in the Legal/Administrative department, where you'll assist with legal inquiries, draft documents, and review manuscripts to identify legal issues.

Responsibilities: You will review contracts, assist with legal questions, and attend meetings with attorneys to discuss industry issues.

Skills: Current college students or recent graduates with good communication skills and a keen interest in legal matters are preferred.

Qualifications: Candidates must be current juniors or seniors in college, able to commit to a summer internship from June 10 to August 14, 2025, and be at least 18 years old.

Location: The internship is in-person, located in Naperville, IL.

Compensation: $15 - $15 / Hourly

The Legal Internship will work with our Corporate Attoney and assist with fielding legal questions from departments within the company, draft and review legal documents and contracts, read manuscripts to identify potential legal issues.

Summer Legal Department Internship Responsibilities:Familiarize themselves with contracts to help review subrights contracts
Review manuscripts with their manager to identify legal issues
Attend bi-weekly meeting with attorneys from Penguin Random House to discuss industry issues

Requirements & Eligibility:

• Current college junior, senior or recent graduate

• Able to work 24 hours/week throughout the program in person 3 days/week in Naperville, IL

• Available and commit to the program working June 10, 2025, to August 14, 2025

• Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship program

• Must be over the age of 18
