Role Snapshot
The Cloud Network & Security Engineer designs, implements, and supports secure, scalable network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, managing enterprise firewalls, switching, and wireless infrastructure while leading cloud security initiatives. This role serves as a Tier 2.5 escalation point for network and security incidents, partnering with infrastructure and security teams to ensure end-to-end protection.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco switches, and Meraki wireless infrastructure; design and administer Azure network services including NSGs, VPNs, and firewall configurations. Serve as escalation point for security incidents, develop technical documentation, support incident response coordination, and mentor Tier 1–2 team members on network procedures.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco networking, Azure cloud services (NSGs, conditional access, VPN), and hybrid network architecture. Strong skills in Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, SIEM integration, security frameworks, documentation, and team communication.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required with 5+ years of relevant network and security engineering experience. Preferred certifications include PCNSE or CCNA; strong documentation, communication, and mentoring abilities.
