Summary

Full-time Student Accounts Specialist role at CampusESP managing student billing, payments, and financial aid coordination within an innovative higher education model. The position supports student success by ensuring accurate account management and timely payment processing.

Key Responsibilities: Process student payments, manage delinquent accounts, set up payment plans and automatic reminders, post charges after add/drop periods, and coordinate with Financial Aid on packaging and payment plan setup. Responsibilities also include account prorations, collections follow-up, and notifying Student Success Coaches of payment issues.
Skills & Tools: Minimum 2 years direct experience in student accounts at a college or university setting, with proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, education, or related field required. Relevant certifications or professional development in financial aid administration preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (10 am–7 pm EST), remote Monday and Friday.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate full-time Student Accounts Specialist to join our Campus Scholars team. Your primary responsibilities will include processing ledger card charges, student billing, past due account follow up, account prorations, packaging non-title IV funding and collections processes.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

  • Package payment plans and set up automatic emails/texts payment reminders
  • Post student payments and respond to student inquiries regarding payment plans
  • Review and post charges after add/drop period
  • Remind students of delinquent payments and notify Student Success Coaches if a student becomes two months overdue. Notify Student Success Coaches if final payment in quarter has not been paid prior to term end
  • Work with Financial Aid to ensure packaging is updated for students who have been identified as not funded or underfunded
  • Work with Financial Aid before new academic year starts for continuing students to identify students that will have new payment plans and work with SAS II to get payment plans set up
  • Process student account prorations

  • You have a minimum of 2 years of direct experience of working in the student accounts functional area in a college or university setting
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., finance, accounting, or education). Relevant certifications or professional development in financial aid administration preferred.
  • You are detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • You have an ethical and professional conduct, ensuring confidentiality and privacy of student information
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear and concise information to diverse audiences
  • You have experience with Microsoft and Google applications

Location: Atlanta | Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10 am to 7 pm EST daily, remote Monday & Friday.

  • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.
