Job Description

Job Title: Product Manager, Client Solutions

Department: Product Management

Location: Remote (US)

Reports to: Head of Product, AI

(Salary Range: $125,000 - $140,000/annually)

Who You Are

You know that building AI products for higher education starts with understanding how institutions actually work. In this role, you’ll partner with university leaders to uncover their needs, learn how their systems and data operate, and turn what you discover into clear requirements for our engineering team. You’ll stay close to the work from discovery through go-live, helping ensure each solution works for the people who will use it.

This is a hands-on product delivery role, not a position focused solely on managing a backlog. You’ll work across client and engineering teams to help bring EDDY agents to life, making informed decisions that keep builds moving. As EducationDynamics expands how we help institutions serve the Modern Learner, your work will help turn emerging technology into practical solutions for our partners.

You’ll collaborate with a team distributed across the United States and with external engineering partners, with meaningful overlap during Eastern Time business hours and clear written documentation. Expect approximately 20–30% travel for discovery workshops and pilot kickoffs, where some of the most useful requirements emerge.

Here are the abilities that we seek out:

  • Client Delivery: Lead discovery workshops and requirements sessions, support pilots, and triage escalations through go-live across several concurrent institutional engagements and technology stacks.
  • Requirement Translation: Turn business requirements into clear specifications that engineering can build from without a second round of interpretation.
  • Integration and Data: Partner with engineering on source-system mapping and ingestion design, including identifying gaps between what a client expects its data to contain and what the data actually shows.
  • Specification Ownership: Develop PRDs, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria for one or more EDDY agents, guided by the BRDs and roadmap set by the Head of AI Product.
  • Decision Latitude: Make and document decisions that do not change scope, cost, or client commitments, keeping builds moving across a distributed team.

  • Working fluency in SQL and data modeling, including the ability to read schemas, identify problematic joins, and participate in architecture reviews.
  • Practical understanding of LLM-based and agentic systems, including retrieval, evaluation, and common failure modes.
  • Ability to lead requirements conversations with campus stakeholders and work directly with engineers to turn those findings into buildable specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with a track record of producing clear specifications and keeping clients and distributed teams aligned.
  • Sound judgment and creative problem-solving when requirements are incomplete or no established playbook exists.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional experience in enrollment management, student retention, or student success.
