Role Snapshot
Part-time Systems Engineer II position at Community College of Baltimore County responsible for supporting the College's computing and network infrastructure through technical and administrative work, including Tier III support and IT security assessments.
Key Responsibilities: Provide Tier III technical support to the Help Desk and Support Center, assist with installation and maintenance of network infrastructure, troubleshoot server issues, and perform IT security assessments and incident response. Support server maintenance for Windows and Linux environments, coordinate software installations, and assist with upgrades and special projects.
Skills & Tools: Knowledge of operating system installation, security, and configuration; experience with application installation and end-user provisioning; understanding of LDAP and SAN concepts; and expertise in desktop and server patch management.
Qualifications: Associate's degree and three years of relevant experience in systems engineering or a computer-related field required.
Location: None
Compensation: $25–$45/hr
