Role Snapshot
Ascend Learning is seeking a UI Engineer to lead the adoption of reusable UI components and design systems, focusing on architecting platform-agnostic solutions and establishing best practices across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain comprehensive component libraries, establish naming conventions and architecture standards, collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure design-to-development parity, and provide technical expertise to support cross-functional teams in delivering design system processes.
Skills & Tools: Extensive front-end UI development experience with proficiency in HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, knowledge of WCAG compliance, design tools like Figma, and testing tools such as Chromatic or Percy.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience with 5+ years in UI development; familiarity with design systems, agile software development practices, and web components.
Location: Leawood, Kansas
Compensation: $100K–$140K/yr
