Role Snapshot
Lead a team of AmeriCorps members and volunteers at Reading Partners Los Angeles to enhance literacy outcomes for elementary students across multiple schools. Manage program execution, quality, and operations while directly impacting the literacy development of over 360 students in the region.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee literacy program execution across five to six schools, manage a team of 12 AmeriCorps members and community volunteers, ensure student enrollment and attendance, and use data to drive decision-making and enhance student outcomes. Direct day-to-day operations of reading centers, maintain internal and external relationships with school principals and community organizations, and coach volunteers to deliver high-quality one-on-one instruction.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills with knowledge of literacy strategies and assessment tools. Demonstrated commitment to education and community service with the ability to manage people and projects while remaining goal-oriented and capable of balancing strategic and on-the-ground work.
Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience working with elementary students and direct management experience required. Familiarity with literacy assessments and background in nonprofit or educational environments preferred.

Compensation: $68Kβ$80K/yr
