Summary

Skills & Tools: Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and analytical abilities are required. Experience with hardware inspection and quality documentation processes is essential.
Qualifications: High school diploma is required with a minimum of 2 years of relevant quality assurance or technical experience. Hardware certifications such as A+ or ACMT are preferred.
Location: Hybrid in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, United States (Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
Compensation: $23–$25/hour + up to $1,000 quarterly bonus

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician ensures that all outbound repair and production units meet company quality standards and customer expectations. This role involves verifying build consistency, documenting results, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing quality-related feedback to team members. The QA Technician supports continuous improvement initiatives and plays a key role in achieving team KPIs through efficient and accurate work.

Schedule is Monday - Thursday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee/complete the creation of the First Article Unit for replication to ensure that the standard is replicable and modeled
  • Inspect and verify each unit to ensure it meets build specifications and customer expectations before job closure and shipment
  • Document inspection results accurately, including photos and other relevant records before job closure and shipment
  • Provide constructive feedback on build quality to Repair Technicians and Production Associates as needed
  • Identify and communicate areas for quality improvement and increased efficiency to leads, supervisors, or managers
  • Adhere to all customer-specific and unit-specific procedures and processes
  • Keep supervisors informed of quality concerns, order status, and team performance daily
  • Assist in root cause analysis when issues are identified and suggest corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain compliance with all company quality standards while contributing to team goals and KPIs
  • Ensure all updates to job orders are made accurately and promptly before final closure
  • Create and maintain SOP guides as products and variations of builds occur to ensure consistency
  • Ensure that customer specific requests are written into the job and ERP system to ensure it is clear and actionable
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Desire and initiative to support continuous process improvement
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred: Experience with ERP systems

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Hardware certifications (e.g., A+, ACMT) are a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
