Full-time Maintenance Assistant supporting building, facility, and vehicle maintenance operations at Audio Enhancement Systems in West Jordan, Utah. Works closely with the Facilities Manager to handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and day-to-day facility upkeep.

Key Responsibilities: Assist with building repairs, vehicle fleet maintenance (fueling, cleaning, basic upkeep), facilities help desk response, and preventative maintenance tasks such as HVAC filter changes and minor painting. Support landscaping, snow removal, equipment moves, warehouse duties, and routine safety inspections of fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and elevators.
Skills & Tools: Willingness to learn basic repairs and maintenance with guidance; basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems preferred. Strong teamwork, problem-solving, attention to detail, proficiency in English, ability to lift and move items, and basic Microsoft Office skills required.
Qualifications: Authorization to work in the United States required; no specific education level stated. Some hands-on experience preferred but not required; experience with facility cleaning, landscaping, or snow removal is a plus.

Compensation: $28K–$36K/yr (estimated)

We are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant at our West Jordan, Utah location!


The Maintenance Assistant will help with maintaining our building, vehicles, and facilities. This role involves working closely with our Facilities Manager to handle repairs, maintenance, and other tasks. Some hands-on experience is preferred; extensive experience is not required.


Duties include

  • Assist with building, facility, and vehicle repairs and general maintenance tasks.
  • Drop off and pick up vehicles for service; fuel and clean Utah Admin Fleet vehicles; perform basic vehicle upkeep such as changing windshield wipers and filling windshield fluid.
  • Respond to Facilities Help Desk tickets and assist with preventative maintenance.
  • Perform minor wall repairs, painting, furniture repairs, HVAC filter changes, and water filter changes.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining common areas, parking lots, landscaping, and equipment.
  • Complete routine inspections of first aid kits, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, scissor lifts, and elevators.
  • Assist with ice machine and Keurig maintenance, including filter changes and descaling.
  • Move, set up, and take down furniture, equipment, patio furniture.
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including cardboard, pallets, and closing overhead doors.
  • Assist with snow removal and other seasonal maintenance as needed.
  • Track supplies, report maintenance needs, and support the Maintenance Technician.
Requirements
  • Willingness to learn and perform basic repairs and maintenance with guidance.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems is a plus.
  • Ability to assist with vehicle fleet maintenance, scheduling, and preventative maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience or knowledge of facility cleaning, landscaping, or snow removal is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Able to lift and move items as required for the job.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be proficient in English.

Compensation and Benefits


Hourly wage is negotiable based on skill level and experience.
