Summary

Consulting Analyst supporting Huron's Global Philanthropy practice in delivering data-driven fundraising strategy and philanthropic counsel to higher education, healthcare, arts, and non-profit institutions. The role provides immediate training and exposure to diverse client engagements while developing analytical and consulting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct on-site and remote data collection, stakeholder interviews, and background research for client fundraising assessments and program reviews. Analyze collected data to develop charts, findings, and recommendations, and create high-quality presentations and reports for client delivery.
Skills & Tools: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization, excellent problem-solving and attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to communicate complex data insights. Requires strong interpersonal and project management skills, with willingness to work collaboratively across team and practice areas.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA obtained by May 2025. Interest in global philanthropy and non-profit sectors with experience or demonstrated aptitude in data analysis preferred.
Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States (Hybrid: 3 days/week onsite); occasional travel to client sites (<15%)
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $55,000 – $75,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.

Qualifications

Huron|GG+A seeks a detail-oriented Consulting Analyst, to work with a team of consultants in developing and delivering high quality presentations, reports, and other materials to our clients. 

**This is full-time, hybrid position in our Chicago office (3 days a week onsite)**

Some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Demonstrate Huron’s values 
  • Work as part of a team on client engagements, both in and out of an assigned Practice Area (Higher Education, Arts & Culture, Healthcare/Academic Medicine, Independent Schools) to perform fundraising assessments, program reviews, etc. across a spectrum of non-profit institutions that vary by size, mission, and sector 
  • Perform on- and off-site data collection, project interviews with key client staff and stakeholders, background client research, cohort analysis, comparative data analytics, etc. 
  • Analyze collected client data to formulate initial data charts, findings, and recommendations

Travel & Requirements

  • Interest in working within Global Philanthropy, including Higher Education institutions, Academic Medical Centers/Hospitals, Non-Profits, Arts & Culture, and Independent Schools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness and ability to travel occasionally (less than 15% of the time) to client sites 
  • Experience with data analysis and strong experience developing visual depictions of data trend
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Strong performance in your degree of choice with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Bachelor’s degree obtained by May/June 2025
  • U.S. work authorization required
