Location: This position is based in Muskogee, OK, with potential nationwide travel for training and support.

Your contributions as a Soldering Technician on the Soldering team will play a vital role in maintaining our strong customer partnerships, enabling them to manage their technology, connectivity, and security needs so their organizations are equipped to solve today's challenges and shape tomorrow.
Position Summary:
The Soldering Technician is responsible for performing precision soldering, diagnosing hardware issues, conducting component-level repairs, and replacements on computer motherboards and other electronic devices.
Essential Responsibilities:
The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.
- Set up, organize, and maintain inventory to ensure availability of parts for all repair needs. Keep the work area and equipment clean, organized, and well-maintained
- Thoroughly Diagnose Motherboards from Start to Finish – Inspect the motherboard for faulty components such as swollen capacitors, debris, burn marks, and corrosion. Examine USB Type-C ports and key EC chips, including associated capacitors and resistors
- Identify required materials or replacement components and select the most effective repair method using suitable parts
- Perform a broad range of component-level motherboard repairs and precision soldering, including audio ports, standardized USB ports, and surface-mount device (SMD) chip replacements
- Perform soldering and desoldering repairs on Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) components, fine-pitch IC packages, Ball Grid Arrays (BGAs), Surface-Mount Device (SMD) ZIF connectors, trackpads, LCD interfaces, and daughterboard connectors
- Perform quality control checks to ensure each part functions properly and meets performance standards, while strictly adhering to safety procedures when working with all soldering components
- Monitor and record your throughput using Microsoft Excel
- Consistently meet company standards for repair timeliness and quality, achieving weekly repair targets aligned with defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of progressive experience in computer soldering, repair, maintenance or diagnostics or other related computer technology roles
- Experience with Institute of Printed Circuits (IPC) soldering standards for 1+ years is preferred
- Proficient in using a multimeter to measure voltage, continuity, and AV charge within printed circuit board (PCB) circuits
- Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically to contribute toward organizational planning
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and deliverables to internal and external stakeholders
- Creative, and results oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with others to identify and solve issues, make proactive recommendations, and lead through influence
- Self-directed work style, able to work autonomously, prioritize and deliver results
- Capable of traveling nationwide as required for training, setup, and facility assistance
