Job Description:

Part-time Instructional Support Assistant - Health Information Technology

Responsibilities:

Assists faculty with new student on-boarding through Academic Advising Course.
Creates and maintains HIT student folders and tracking forms.
Maintain curriculum statistical and informational reports.
Responsible for graduate and employer survey correspondence and maintaining survey results.
Assists Health Information Technology (HIT) faculty with course updates in LMS.
Monitor and update noncredit ExamPrep courses.
Attends academic program and department meetings.
Works with requesting colleges to negotiate 1+1 articulation agreements with career colleges and community colleges that do not offer such programs (to continue increasing Alfred State's HIT and CRS academic program enrollment).
Responsible for correspondence with workforce development relationships
Assists Program Director with annual reporting requirements.

Requirements:

Required:

Associate degree in health information technology, business administration, office technology or related field.
Experience with interacting effectively with colleagues, staff, students, and administrators.
Experience with Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

Associate degree in health information technology from CAHIIM-accredited institution
RHIT credential, or RHIT eligible
Work experience in a health information management (HIM) department in a healthcare facility
Familiarity with online learning management system
