What is this role about?

As the AssociateAcademic Designer, you will edit existing K-12 Social Studies content to match various states and school district standards. You will be on a team of academic designers who specialize in all aspects of print and digital content development.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 06/30/2026.

What you will be doing:

Work with cross functional teams to develop a customized version of McGraw Hill’s social studies programs aligned to state standards.
Research and understand state standards prior to product development; develop gap analysis documentation; and correlate state standards to existing social studies programs.
Write, edit, and produce high-quality print and digital materials.
Track and follow approved workflows at all stages of product development.
Monitor and maintain schedules to meet project goals and deadlines.

We’re looking for someone with:

2 years of experience in educational or publishing industry or a combination of both.
Bachelor's degree in social studies or related field preferred.
Experience with middle and high school curriculum.
Exceptional grammar, writing skills, and editorial skills/proofreading skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

The pay range for this position is between $41,200 - $63,775 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
