Summary

Remote Speech-Language Pathologist position with Parallel focused on delivering evaluations, therapy, and support to children with learning differences in New York schools. The role emphasizes collaboration with educational teams and families to help students succeed.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct therapy services, develop and monitor treatment plans aligned with IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Communicate progress to parents and educational staff, complete documentation, and participate in IEP meetings and team discussions.
Skills & Tools: ASHA CCC-SLP certification, strong communication abilities, proficiency with virtual telehealth platforms, and comfort engaging children from diverse backgrounds. Fluency in additional languages is preferred.
Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of IEP-directed therapy and evaluation experience in a school setting (CFY not included), with demonstrated experience in IEP meetings, case management, and eligibility determinations. Educational assessment and report-writing skills required.
Location: Remote from New York, United States; work during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday), minimum 20 hours per week with morning availability required.
Compensation: $70,000 – $95,000/year

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on specific SLP goals
  • Continuously monitor each child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students regarding progress
  • Complete essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations
  • Meet with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, adaptations, and interventions
  • Actively participate in team meetings and work collaboratively to ensure every student's success

What You’ll Need 

  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
  • Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms
  • Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday)
  • Fluency in additional languages is a plus!
