Role Snapshot
The Director of School Support partners with school leaders in Philadelphia to strengthen equitable mathematics instruction, drive student achievement, and build schoolwide instructional capacity. This role serves as a strategic thought partner supporting change management, instructional coherence, and improvement efforts across the School District of Philadelphia.
Key Responsibilities: Coach school leaders on equitable instruction and standards-aligned math teaching while supporting the development and implementation of data-driven instructional systems. Facilitate professional learning for school and district teams, design school improvement plans, and promote culturally responsive instructional practices.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership coaching abilities, deep K-12 mathematics instruction knowledge, data-driven decision-making expertise, excellent relationship-building and communication skills, and experience with change management. Proficiency with high-quality mathematics curricula and assessment data analysis is essential.
Qualifications: 5-7 years of experience in coaching or leading instructional strategies with a focus on K-12 mathematics and Common Core standards; experience with Illustrative Mathematics is preferred. Demonstrated success working with school leaders and a track record of improving instructional outcomes required.
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Compensation: $68β$73/hr
