Role Snapshot
Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as an Accounts Receivable Specialist to ensure smooth cash flow through effective invoice management, collections, and account reconciliations. This role is critical for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities: Record and track invoices for agency dues and technology fees, reconcile payments with bank accounts, monitor collections, respond to agency inquiries, and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Additional duties include deposit processing, aging report reviews, and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Bill.com, strong data analysis and analytical problem-solving abilities, knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, and excellent communication skills for working with agencies and internal teams. Requires attention to detail, customer service orientation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications: Preferred education includes an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2-5 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally in the non-profit sector. Strong organizational and reconciliation skills are essential.
Location: Tampa, Florida
Compensation: $45K–$60K/yr
