Role Snapshot
Interim Managing Director leading the integration of Reading Partners' Baltimore and DC regions, serving as primary liaison with DC Public Schools to maintain and enhance literacy tutoring programs through community volunteers.
Key Responsibilities: Act as point of contact with school and district leaders overseeing five Reading Centers, coach and support the local Program Manager and 12 AmeriCorps members, ensure program fidelity, and support regional fundraising efforts targeting $1.5 million in private funding.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership and managerial experience, relationship development and communication skills, proven ability to engage with nonprofits and community stakeholders, and experience in program oversight and staff management.
Qualifications: 3+ years in senior leadership roles with experience in education settings and a demonstrated commitment to enhancing literacy education in underserved communities.
Location: Washington
Compensation: $121K–$152K/yr
