Join a dynamic and collaborative team in the Department of Computer Science, where your expertise will directly contribute to advancing teaching and learning excellence. As an Instructional Quality Coordinator, you will play a key role in optimizing instructional quality and supporting both undergraduate and graduate-level education.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting, training and evaluating undergraduate and graduate Teaching Assistants (TAs)
- Leading the department's Disability Resource Center (DRC) accommodations processes, ensuring all students have equitable access to learning.
- Managing academic integrity investigations for upper-division and graduate courses, working closely with faculty to maintain a high standard of academic honesty.
This role offers a mix of responsibilities in a variety of settings. Whether facilitating large-scale training sessions or offering tailored, one-on-one guidance, no two days will be the same. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to ensure the highest standards of instructional quality in the department.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, education, business, public administration, academic advising or related field
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in managing staff and projects, teaching or advising or related area
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, education, business, public administration, academic advising or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in experience in teaching or advising or related area
- Experience teaching college level courses. Experience investigating issues of academic dishonesty
Skills Needed:
- Excellent communication (oral/written) and interpersonal skills required
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and administer academic policy
- Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and resolve conflict
- Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
- Ability to:
- work collaboratively with faculty, continuing lecturers, and teaching assistants
- plan and organize teaching assignments
- teach and the skills to evaluate teaching methodologies and teaching quality
Preferred:
- Knowledge of university and departmental policies and practices in graduate teaching assignments
- Knowledge of academic integrity issues
- Knowledge of computer science instruction and curriculum development
- Familiarity with MyPurdue, Banner
