The current landscape: In Nevada, despite a nearly 82% statewide graduation rate, less than 1 in 5 high school students is on grade level in math and less than half are on grade level in English Language Arts. Opportunity 180 seeks to partner with the broader community to lead both practice-based and policy-centered solutions to the State’s persistent educational challenges and to do so by unifying around a common vision for success based on evidence and data. This requires a coordinated effort to align around a single North Star and deploy sustainable strategies to ensure efforts to meet the educational needs of kids can launch and thrive.
To meet these ambitious goals and build the conditions needed to strengthen and amplify our work, we are seeking a Business Manager who can ensure the team is operating aligned with the Board Approved Financial Policy and under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Role Snapshot:

SUPPORT the Operation’s Director in ensuring organizational compliance across complex grant and business activities and relationships.

The Business Manager at Opportunity 180 will report to the Director of Operations and serve as an integral member of the organization’s operations team, with the specific objectives to:
- Serve as a key executor and driver of organizational financial policies
- Ensure federal fiscal compliance of the organization, as both a grantee and grantor
- Implementation of business systems
- Improve organizational business and accounting practices to ensure effective and efficient operations
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processing
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
- Track business and team member expenses
- Track grant expenditures and reporting
- Providing monthly financial reports to team and leadership
- Draft contracts and service agreements and payable schedule tracking
- Coordinating financial information for external accountant related to the annual filing of the Organization’s annual tax form 990
- Coordination and support of completion of the Organization’s annual audit and federal single audit
- Creation of financial reports for quarterly board meetings
- Lead annual budget preparation process
- Oversee federal fiscal monitoring and reporting
- Execute federal subgrantee reimbursement processing
- Review of grantee financial materials (audits, 990s, etc.)for compliance
- Support the creation and completion of federal SEFA annually
- Monthly reconciliation of shared costs for Battle Born Kids Matter

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.
- 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience managing AP/AR functions
- Experience successfully managing and implementing multiple projects
- Experience with QuickBooks online
- Experience with Microsoft Office, GSuite, and AirTable
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with data analysis
- Federal grant accounting experience
- CPA license
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A current Nevada State-issued Driver’s License and current automobile insurance coverage, including automobile registration.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The salary range for this position starts at $65k - $79k
