We are seeking an experienced conferences and events marketing professional to contribute expertise to the B2B Marketing team at Risepoint. This is a strategic thinker-doer role, reporting directly to the head of B2B Marketing. This individual will help build our brand and strengthen our culture through the development, measurement, and optimization of engaging conferences, events, and activities through related content development.
A Day in the Life
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
Collaborate with head of B2B Marketing on conference and event strategy and deliverables plan in the B2B space to build awareness for the Risepoint brand and lead-generation for the business development team.
Develop Risepoint B2B conference deliverables plan, including: attendance, sponsorship, content, speaking opportunities, programming, and targeted outreach.
Manage daily development, production, budgets, and vendor relationships for assigned projects, and collaborate with Creative/Brand on conference asset development and shipping/tracking.
Build relationships and collaborate across the organization with sales, research & insights, academic services & products, and other related functions, seeking out relevant SMEs for conference and event engagements.
Plan and execute compelling events which attract target personas through presentations by thought-leaders, professional development opportunities, and industry partnerships.
Establish KPIs and measurable goals to track ROI and report desired impact and effectiveness of conference and event activities.
Provide regular status reports and post-conference/event analysis with insightful observations about opportunities to refine and recalibrate existing and future tactics.
Collaborate with key external associations and university partners to leverage these partnerships in support of marketing and sales strategy.
Ensure the head of B2B Marketing is kept informed of all conference and event activities, and performance; remain on track and on budget.
Continually optimizing conference and event activities to reach and exceed business goals. Positively influence customers' experience with the Risepoint brand.
What You’ll Need for Success
You must meet the following requirements to be considered for employment:
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of successful Higher Ed experience in the B2B conference and events space required.
Strategic thinker-doer role with the ability to translate strategies into deliverables, including content.
Strong experience with conference and event-based marketing, and the ability to use thought leadership and partnerships for audience development.
Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills and ability to partner with internal teams.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use these to influence outcomes by communicating with persuasiveness and candor with an engaging and energetic personality.
Ability to appreciate the diversity of stakeholder interactions and adapt style and approach accordingly.
Experience working with Salesforce.com and MarketingCloud, a plus.
Ability to plan, manage, prioritize and successfully complete multiple complex projects simultaneously, and within budget, while measuring progress.
Ability to apply creative thinking and imagination to conference and event activity development, planning and execution as well as an unrelenting focus on the target audience.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and remain positive and calm.
Thrives on collaboration, problem solving and accomplishing shared goals in a team environment; Able to work both independently and collaborate with a team.
Solid skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams; Cvent and other platforms a plus.
