Riipen is hiring a Senior Partner Relationship Manager, Consortiums, to help us get there. This individual will be responsible for retention and growth of Riipen’s strategic higher education consortiums in the U.S.
This role is fully remote and open to candidates in Canada or the United States.

- Customer Renewals/Conversions and Growth
- Customer Retention
- Customer Advocacy
Alignment for how we engage with and deliver value for our customers is critical for this leader to be successful. The right candidate is committed to:
- Have a deep understanding of customer use cases and how Riipen’s solution addresses those use cases
- Have a relentless focus on measuring customer outcomes to demonstrate Riipen’s value for at the individual institution level and at the consortium level
- Be laser-focused on conversion and retention of consortium institutions to unlock growth opportunities (converting these institutions to standalone partnerships with Riipen)
- Approach every customer relationship with the goal of creating passionate Riipen advocates
Key Responsibilities
Delivering on the primary areas of ownership will require you to:
- Develop and maintain expert level platform and product knowledge
- Develop and implement customer-specific adoption roadmaps based on desired institutional outcomes and co-created goals for the Riipen partnership
- Work closely with Riipen solution specialists to ensure successful adoption of the Riipen platform with educators
- Conduct regular customer meetings with decision makers and key stakeholders at partner institutions
- Build awareness and advocacy for the Riipen partnership by hosting virtual and on-site sessions with partner institutions (e.g. webinars, demonstrations, planning workshops, etc.)
- Manage and negotiate customer renewals, conversions and growth opportunities with solutions-focused proposals
- Maintain accurate renewal and expansion forecasts and pipelines
- Identify and qualify cross-sell opportunities in partnership with sales
- Own and monitor account health and implement appropriate adoption strategies, interventions and save plays
- Cultivate advocacy across assigned Riipen customers to generate references and co-created thought leadership
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5+ years of experience in a strategic customer success manager or account manager role in U.S. higher ed/ed tech.
- 10+ years total industry experience in U.S. higher education - including working at an institution, or selling to/ servicing higher education customers.
- Experience and comfort forming deep relationships with customers over the phone, email, and in person;
- Excel working in a sales minded role, meeting and exceeding revenue targets through delivering exceptional, value add relationships with assigned accounts;
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up environment where change is necessary for growth and success;
- Possess strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills;
- Embrace Riipen’s values and model resilience in your leadership style.
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of or experience with project-based experiential learning;
- Experience working with higher education consortiums and/or systems.
