Summary

Qualifications: Post-secondary degree in Education, Machine Learning, or related field with 1-3 years of teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with educational technologies and understanding of provincial curriculum guidelines.

About the Role

As an K-12 Education Advisor you will use your teaching experience to build and socialize artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) assets that align with various provincial curriculum guidelines. Using your strong organization and communication skills, you’ll collaborate and coordinate with our teams in a lean working environment that is open, professional and creative. 

Reporting to the AI Literacy Manager, Training, the K-12 Education Advisor is a key member of the Training Product Team, actively contributing to the execution of Amii’s business functions. This position focuses on driving program development and growth, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting the success of the team in delivering impactful AI literacy programming within targeted provincial jurisdictions.

Required Skills / Expertise

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the AI Literacy Manager to develop AI literacy programming in targeted provincial jurisdictions 
  • Firmly establishes themselves as a trusted subject matter expert in understanding the K-12 curriculum guidelines in targeted provincial jurisdictions 
  • Creates resources to support K-12 teachers in their implementation of AI and ML assets
  • Collaborates with the AI literacy Manager and provincial jurisdiction education system SMEs to develop and deploy a plan to distribute, socialize, and train teachers to use these AI and ML assets 
  • Collaborates with Training team Educators to create content that will resonate with our target learners
  • Maintains and improves systems and tools in the organization that lead to measurable efficiency gains
  • Encourages and identifies problem-solving approaches to work while acting as a collaborator

Required Qualifications: 

  • Post-Secondary Degree in Education, Machine Learning or related field 
  • Experience developing learning paths specialized to target audiences 
  • 1-3 years teaching experience in the K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, and teaching experience within STEM subjects (nice to have)
  • Experience with a variety of educational technologies and online learning tools (nice to have) 
  • Experience in public speaking and facilitation (nice to have)
