Role Snapshot
A 12-month paid Machine Learning Residency at Ontopical focused on designing and optimizing NLP and LLM models for government document analysis, with mentorship from leading AI scientists and potential for permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize ML models for document analysis using NLP, LLMs, and RAG techniques; prepare and optimize large datasets; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop MVP solutions and deliver client-focused insights.
Skills & Tools: Solid background in machine learning, NLP, and LLMs with proven experience in applied settings; proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (e.g., Transformers), and state-of-the-art ML tools and APIs.
Qualifications: Graduate degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or related field with specialization in NLP; project experience in text analysis and legal eligibility to work in Canada.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Compensation: CA$70K–CA$90K/yr
