Role Snapshot

Licensed Social Emotional Counselor providing mental health support and case management for high school students at City Arts and Leadership in San Francisco. The role ensures students' social-emotional well-being and facilitates successful transitions to college and careers.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct individual and group mental health counseling, manage student academic cases, participate in the Crisis Response Team, and coordinate services with families and special education teams. Maintain records, respond to crises, and provide guidance to students with learning, behavior, and adjustment challenges.
Skills & Tools: Strong counseling and communication skills, experience in school settings, familiarity with anti-racist practices, and preferably fluency in Spanish. Ability to work collaboratively, examine personal biases, and respond to feedback.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling or related field required, along with one of the following credentials: PPS in School Counseling, MFT, LCSW, LPCC, LMFCC, or Licensed Educational/School/Clinical Psychologist. Two or more years of experience in a school setting preferred.
Location: San Francisco, California
Compensation: $67K–$103K/yr
