Summary
Teaching Lab seeks experienced ELA/Special Education Professional Learning Facilitators/Coaches to provide high-quality coaching and professional development to educators in New York City, focusing on HMH Into Literature curriculum and equitable instructional practices for grades 6-12.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate in-person and virtual professional learning sessions and 1:1 coaching for special education teachers and school leaders; design and collaborate on professional development content, review participant feedback, and build trusting relationships to enhance instructional capacity.
Skills & Tools: Deep expertise in curriculum-based professional development, strong background in special education, effective coaching skills, knowledge of HMH Into Literature, ability to foster trusting relationships, and demonstrated commitment to equitable instructional practices.
Qualifications: Minimum two years of experience as an instructional coach or educator with knowledge of HMH Into Literature curriculum and familiarity with New York City Public School landscape; ability to travel to NYC with two weeks' advance notice.
Location: Hybrid in New York, New York, United States
Compensation: $110 β $150/hour (1099 contract position; group facilitation at $150/hour, 1:1 coaching at $110/hour, inclusive of preparation and follow-up time; hours not guaranteed; contract through June 2026 with renewal probability)
