Summary
Remote contract Software Engineer role at Teaching Lab, a nonprofit focused on AI-empowered K-12 education. The position involves building technical infrastructure and products that support innovative classroom learning models and improve student outcomes across the nation.
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement technical infrastructure for educational products, build connected learning systems that enable data flow between platforms, and develop systems supporting the Studio Classroom Project (AI-powered mastery-based math learning). Contribute to architecture decisions for scaling impact while maintaining pedagogical coherence across products like Podsie, CoTeach, Mathly, and NISA.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in production software development, system architecture, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and passion for educational technology. Experience building scalable infrastructure and connected systems is essential.
Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with proven ability in system architecture. Commitment to building inclusive digital experiences and understanding of educational technology contexts preferred.

Compensation: $60.00 β $80.00/hour
