Summary
Senior Full-Stack Engineer role at Cambly, a $60M VC-backed English learning marketplace, focused on designing and launching innovative features that enhance the learning experience for students and tutors worldwide.
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and launch user-facing features while optimizing performance and maintaining code quality through reviews and best practices. Collaborate with product and design teams to create engaging experiences for tutor discovery, AI-tailored classroom content, and post-lesson activities.
Skills & Tools: 3+ years of full-stack development experience, 2+ years with React, proficiency with NoSQL databases like MongoDB, and strong understanding of frontend and backend technologies. Experience with monitoring tools like Lighthouse, Sentry, and New Relic required; passion for building impact-driven products preferred.
Qualifications: 3+ years of full-stack development experience and 2+ years with React required. Experience building and maintaining production systems, strong grasp of frontend and backend patterns, and a passion for creating products with real user impact preferred.
Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, California, United States (Office days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000/year
