Summary
Wesleyan University seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to lead a comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and aligning security initiatives with the institution's risk tolerance.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor strategic information security policies and risk management programs while supervising security staff and coordinating with functional areas across the university. Manage security incidents, provide regular reporting to senior leaders, oversee compliance efforts, and create awareness training programs for all employees and system users.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership and communication abilities, expertise in risk management and security policy development, proficiency in IT security frameworks, and demonstrated experience managing security programs across complex organizations.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or technology with a minimum of 5 years of relevant information security experience and proven track record in security policy execution and compliance management.
Location: Hybrid in Middletown, Connecticut, United States
Compensation: $170,400/year
