Summary
Tutor Me Education seeks enthusiastic Special Education Tutors to provide one-on-one instruction and support to students with special needs in Morgan Hill, California. Tutors will create dynamic, inclusive learning environments that foster academic success and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct individualized tutoring sessions, develop customized lesson plans aligned with students' IEPs, and adapt instructional methods to meet unique learning styles. Monitor student progress, collaborate with teachers and parents, maintain regular communication about student development, and foster safe, supportive learning environments.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs, proficiency in making learning interactive and engaging, and flexibility in scheduling. Experience with special education accommodations, understanding of learning disabilities, and knowledge of inclusive teaching practices are essential.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; previous special education experience highly preferred. Ability to pass background check if required and demonstrated experience working with students with learning disabilities.
Location: Hybrid in Morgan Hill, California, United States (tutoring at student's home or preferred location, mostly Monday-Friday afternoons)
Compensation: $25 – $35/hour
